Featured poets Agnes Meadows and Sara-Mae Tuson are primed and ready to set the evening alight with their words.
Agnes Meadows is a London-based Performance Poet, who has toured both nationally and internationally, giving readings, workshops, and residencies all over the world. She was Guest Poet at the Austin International Poetry Festival, Texas, 10 times, twice winning awards for Outstanding Writing. In 2010 Agnes was Writer-in-Residence with the Writers Centre, Singapore. In 2011 she gave a series of workshops for the Elmbridge Literature Festival, plus a residency at the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge. She has written five collections of poetry, the last three published by Flipped Eye/Waterways (‘Woman’, ‘At Damascus Gate on Good Friday’, and ‘This One Is For You’), and has also recorded a CD of her poetry with specially commissioned music She has been an adviser on Poetry for Channel 4 TV, and for the past seven years has run Loose Muse, London’s premiere women’s writers night at the Poetry Café in Covent Garden.
