One of the real treats for us at Paragram is to hear from poets and writers whose writing we have published about how well they are doing and to find their work in other publications. The whole reason for Paragram’s existence is to share the satisfaction and excitement of publication and performance and perhaps play a small part in encouraging writers to write.
Today I am happy to direct blog readers to YouTube to hear one of the successful ‘Connections’ writers read her work…an absolute joy. Jazz Palmer’s short fiction piece ‘Finger Grip’, a moving and thought provoking piece of writing. You can share Jazz’s performance here.
If any other of Paragram’s growing list of writers would like to share similar short links to their performances just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will add the links to the Paragram blog.
The Connections anthology, the first by Paragram to have welcomed submissions from all over Europe and, indeed the world, continues to sell well. If you haven’t bought your copy yet, it is available from www.behindthehighstreet.co.uk
Our big project for 2013 is the Poetry Competition which has cash prizes, but more importantly publication in a Chapbook which will be ready in time for Christmas and performance opportunites as well as the chance to be featured in a forthcoming paragram publication. The theme is ‘…a certain slant of light…’ and all relevant details can be found here.
Our judge is poet and novelist Adrienne Dines and her tips for success are here.
Entries are already coming in – if you haven’t started to think about it yet there is still plenty of time, but don’t miss the midnight deadline on 31st August 2013.
