Are you ready for the Paragram project for 2014? To be one of the first to know about it come along to our book launch and poetry evening.
All will be revealed at the launch of the Slants of Light anthology on Friday 14th February at the Poetry Cafe in Covent Garden, the home of the Poetry Society.
The prize winning poets from the 2013 Paragram Poetry Prize are lining up to read their amazing poems. The awards evening will be a great opportunity to meet the poets, the organisers and the judge and chat about just what makes a winning poem.
We all know how hard it is to appreciate a poem on first hearing, so if you haven’t got your copy of the Book, Slants of Light yet, this is your opportunity to order one in advance. Book in hand you will be able to follow the poem as it is read – so much better to gain a deep understanding of the work.
There will also be an open mic session, time permitting, at the end, so if you have a poem ready, grab this chance to read it in front of this friendly, appreciative and, importantly, knowledgeable audience…a chance not to be missed. Contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to book a slot.
Traditionally we take the opportunity to reveal the new Paragram project at our book launches and this year is no exception. To find out just what our exciting plan is for 2014 and to get a head start, join us on Friday 14th February at the Poetry Cafe, Betterton Street – a step away from Covent Garden underground station. Entry is free and the fun starts at 7.30pm
We, the behind the scenes Paragrammers, can’t wait to meet you all. See you in a fortnight.
