A reminder that the closing date for submissions to the 2014 anthology REMEMBER is midnight 31st August 2014.
This is an evenly numbered year and so Paragram is asking for submissions to an anthology of poetry and flash writing. There is no charge for submission of writing.
I may at some time ask whether success contributors whether they intend to buy a copy of the book. This does not make this ‘vanity publishing’. It is merely a tool to enable me to judge a sensible print run for the volume, which will be available to buy from Amazon and other on-line stores as well as from our partner site behindthehighstreet.
All the details for submission and the rules are set out on the Submissions page.
Successful contributions will be well written, carefully edited pieces of writing which show a sensitive and perhaps wide-ranging interpretation of the theme. While pieces about ‘lost love’ for example will be carefully considered, this constitutes the major subject matter of our current submissions and so a poem of piece of flash writing which concerns itself with a broader translation of the theme – maybe to do with the anniversary of the Great War (or another forum of unrest); a piece looking backwards or forwards towards global issues (remembering forwards has some interesting possibilities perhaps);life writing that is not about love affairs would be refreshing as would scientific or sci-fi based writing.
There are many possibilities and so I am throwing out the challenge for great pieces of writing on the theme REMEMBER.
Over to you Paragrammers!
